Lena Lesiuk

It's with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lena Lesiuk on November 2, 2023 at Grandview PCH.

Lena was born November 30, 1933 in Gilbert Plains to parents John and Dora Huska.  She attended Deer Park School, had worked at various jobs in Gilbert Plains, Grandview and Dauphin Hospitals.

She married Theordore "Ted" Lesiuk August 1952.  Lena enjoyed hobbies like crafts, gardening, fishing, curling, bowling, catering, paper tole and ceramics.  She worked alongside with Ted with chores of milking cows, operating farm equipment.

Lena was involved in curling clubs, 4-H Leader, Ukrainian Veslka Dancers, Director - Gilbert Plains Coop, Ukrainian Orthodox Women's Groups.

She was predeceased by her husband Ted; her parents; siblings, Nellie, Pauline, Peter, Anne and Mike.

Lena is survived by Brenda (Al), Brian (Karen), cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Dr. Elliott and Grandview PCH staff for taking good care of mom.

Private services will be held at Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre and with interment to follow in Chatsworth Cemetery.
