Lawrence "Larry" Rausch

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Lawrence William Henry Rausch. After a very fulfilling life Lawrence passed away peacefully on March 22, 2025 at the age of 84 years at the Grandview Personal Care Home. He was surrounded by his loving family.
Lawrence was born on September 4, 1940, in Gilbert Plains, MB to Harry and Laura Christina Rausch and was the oldest of four children.
Lawrence met the love of his life Marie Elizabeth Cullen (known to him as Betty) and they were married on October 29, 1960. They would have celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary this year.
Larry and Betty started farming together in Gilbert Plains and then moved to their home place in Grandview in 1966 and resided there until his passing.
They raised a family of four children; Dean the oldest was born in 1961; Trudy the oldest daughter was born in 1963; Karen the second daughter was born in 1965 and Pattie, the youngest daughter, was born in 1971.
Larry had farming in his blood from the young age of 16 years old. He started farming his grandfather’s land in Gilbert Plains. Together Larry and Betty farmed for a total of 61 years.
In 2012 Larry fell ill but continued to farm until 2017 when he couldn’t continue his love of farming anymore.
Left to mourn his passing are his wife Marie Elizabeth of 64 years; his son Dean (Teresa) Rausch; his oldest daughter Trudy Rausch; his second daughter, Karen (Dean) Windsor and his youngest daughter Pattie (Jack) McDonald.
He was predeceased by his parents Harry and Laura Rausch and his youngest sister Donna (Murray) Carll
Surviving siblings are his eldest sister Erna McRoberts and his brother Karl (Louise) Rausch
Surviving grandchildren and great grandchildren; Kayla (Cody) Campbell (Cavan, Kayson and Kenton); Sheryl-Lee (Justin) Watters (Cyra and Maci); Teren (Matt) Saville (Ophelia); Lanie (Logan) Rausch (Augustine); Orrie (Kiara) Rausch (Jaxon) ; Gavin Morin (Kierstyn); Stacey (Justin) Knourek; Dallas (Krysta) Morin (Malia) ; Mandy (Chad) Windsor (Sara); Holly (Tyler) Spratt (Kennedy and Owen);  Jesse McDonald and Logan McDonald

He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

A private service will be held for Lawrence.
