It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Laurent Delaurier on Sunday, June 27, 2021 at the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home in Ste. Rose at the age of 80 years.
Laurent was born on July 25, 1940 at the McCreary Hospital to Etienne & Clarisse Dubois. Laurent married Louise Verhaeghe on November 17, 1962 in Winnipeg.
Laurent was predeceased by his wife, Louise in 2019; his son, Pierre in 2012; his sister, Annette Clement in 2020 and his brother-in-law, Maurice Todd in 2008.
He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories, his daughters, Susie and her husband Richard Flower, Carol and her husband Alex Dunlop, and his grandson Ryan Dunlop and his wife, Melissa, his great grandchildren, Emma and Claire Dunlop; his siblings, Johnny Delaurier, Lionel and Paulette Delaurier, Claire Landry, Lucina Todd, Irene and Emile Brunel, Leona and Leon Verhaeghe, Denis Delaurier, Andre Delaurier and his partner, Martin Dykstra; his brother-in-law, Remi Clement, as well as a number of nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends.
A Celebration of Larry's life was held on Saturday, April 30th at 2:00 pm in the Ste. Rose Community Centre, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB
Flowers are gratefully declined. Should friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Laurent to the Alzheimer Society of Manitoba.
