In the early morning hours of July 16, 2025 with his family by his side, Ken Neiman passed away at the Brandon Regional Health Centre at the age of 81 years.
Ken was born in Ste. Rose du Lac and attended Beaver Dam and Lecoq School and in Dauphin where he received his grade 10.
Until his last few months, Ken enjoyed visiting and cutting meat for his many friends in the surrounding communities. He fixed and sold tires at his tire shop. Ken drove school bus for Turtle River School Division driving to Ste. Rose and McCreary school. He cut grass at those schools as well as for cemeteries in the area. Ken enjoyed farming , working on his own farm and assisting his neighbors. When Ken wasn’t busy, he loved hunting and fishing whether the outing was fruitful or not.
Ken was predeceased by his mother Vivian Ziemski and Alphonse Chaput
Ken leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories: his beloved wife of 50 years Rita, his children; son Eugene (Arla) and Dione (Kyle), his grandchildren Tyler (Kaili), Isaac, Brandon, Abigail, Dana, Nikolas, and Grayson and his two great grandchildren Jane and McKennah, his sisters Pat Anderson (Duncan), Dianne Chaput and his brother Brent Ziemski, his in-laws Elsa Plamondon, Adele Burelle (George), Armand Verhaeghe (Coline), Len Verhaeghe (Bonnie), Danny Verhaeghe (Sally), his cousins Neil Neiman, Jeff (Bella) Neiman, Arlene (Ronnie) Laderoute, April (Alexis) Desjardins, Terry (Tammy) Neiman, Glen Neiman as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
A Graveside Service & Celebration of Life will be held for Ken on Saturday, August 2, 2025 at 1:00 pm from the Ste. Amelie Cemetery in Ste. Amelie with Ryan Raffray officiating.
Please bring your own lawn chairs for seating.
