Kelvin Francis “Pittens” Langan
April 11, 1954 – March 26, 2025
It is with heavy hearts we announce the passing of Kelvin Francis “Pittens” Langan, who left us peacefully on March 26, 2025, at the age of 70, at Crocus Court Personal Care Home in Roblin, Manitoba.
Born April 11, 1954, in Roblin, MB, Kelvin grew up in Boggy Creek, where he attended school in Roblin. A proud Métis man, Kelvin was known for his larger-than-life personality and generous heart. Whether logging in the bush, working for Roblin Forest Products, or Hudson Bay mining and smelting in Flin Flon, MB, Kelvin was a jack of all trades who thrived on hard work and lived off the land. Hunting, fishing, gardening—there wasn’t much he couldn’t do.
Kelvin had a gift for making friends wherever he went. He was the extrovert of his twin set, a constant jokester who could light up a room with his quick wit and charm. Always busy, always helping—he never hesitated to lend a hand. He was a loving uncle, a proud godfather, and a loyal friend, often found sharing laughs and coffee with his buddies at Chicken Chef.
Kelvin was predeceased by his parents, Frank and Clara (Bouvier) Langan, and his brothers Gerald, Melvin, Larry, and Doug.
Left to mourn his loss is his wife, Sharon; sisters Alma, Sharon, and Carolyn; brothers Brian, Keith, and Randall; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends who will miss him dearly.
A memorial service for both Kelvin and his twin brother, Melvin, will be held at Nairn-Chyz Funeral Home on Friday, August 1, 2025, at 7:30 p.m. Following the service, Melvin’s ashes will be interred beside his beloved wife, Joan, at Roblin District Cemetery. A lunch will follow at the Roblin 50 & Over Club.
Kelvin’s ashes will be laid to rest at Ste. Claire's Roman Catholic Cemetery on Sunday, August 3, 2025, at 2:30 p.m., beside his parents.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Activities Fund c/o Crocus Court, Box 940, Roblin, MB R0L 1P0, in memory of Kelvin.
Forever remembered for his laughter, his heart, and the way he lived life on his own terms.
