Karen Dayle Fraser (née Murphy) was born on July 23, 1949, in Ste Rose Du Lac, Manitoba, and grew up in McCreary. Karen passed away peacefully at Saanich Peninsula Hospital on March 6, 2026, surrounded by family.
Karen is lovingly remembered by her husband George, her son Jason and grandchildren Zachary, Malcolm, and Ashleigh, her daughter Jill Bishop, son‑in‑law Brian and grandchildren Nolan, Brayden, and Addison along with countless friends and family. Karen cherished time with family and friends, travelling and camping, and found her greatest joy in her grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held May 2, 2026, at the Saanich Fairgrounds 1:00pm to 4:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or you local Palliative Care Unit.
