Joe was born March 21,1937 to Karol and Angela (Stefishen) Kruk in Sifton MB. He received his education in Sifton School and Dauphin Collegiate Institute. He began his career life with the Canadian National Railway. He went on to become a co-owner of the Golden West Hotel in Preeceville SK. He married Lucy Czarnecki on August 12, 1967. Joe returned to Dauphin MB in 1971 and worked at Pratts Wholesale before retiring in 2000. Joe passed suddenly on January 6, 2026.
Joe is predeceased by his wife Lucy, his parents, his brothers and sisters. He leaves behind his son Sheldon (Alley). His daughter Karla (Trent). His grandchildren- Brendan (Carly). Drayson (Mackenzie), Kennedy, Taylor, Jerrilynn, Logan (Terron), and Brayden. His brothers-in-law- Henry (Linda), and Ted (Stacy). His sisters-in-law- Lena, and Sylvia. He leaves behind many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Mass was held at St. Viator’s Church, Dauphin MB. on Saturday March 21, 2026 at 11 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada, or our local animal rescue, Barkland Bridges Inc.
