Joseph Wayne Hunter

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Joseph Wayne (Aero) Hunter on Tuesday, February 13, 2018.  Wayne passed away surrounded by his loving family at the Ste. Rose General Hospital at the age of 60 years.  

Wayne was born on May 21, 1957 in Ste. Rose du Lac, MB to Angelique Hunter and George Malcolm

Wayne loved spending time with his children and grandchildren and enjoyed many trips to Sapotaweyak to visit with friends and family there.  Wayne could be found doing yard work for people in Ebb and Flow in the summer time and in winter time, he helped people with their Christmas lights.  He took great pride in his work.  He enjoyed joking around and teasing others and laughing about it.  Wayne went to sweat lodges around the area.  Wayne was a loving and caring guy who was loved and will be missed.  

He was predeceased by his father George Malcolm in 1993, his sister Delma Rose, his aunt Adele Baptiste, his uncle Donald Baptiste, his grandparents Louie and Louisa Hunter, his uncle Larry Hunter Sr, his aunt Roseanna Meeches, his cousins whom he grew up with Big Joe Baptiste, Mary Jane Ahmo, Deanna McIvor, his brother-in-law Lawrence Brass, his mother in law Louisa Zastre, his father in law Lawrence Zastre and his granddaughter Jessica Pearl Chartrand.  

Wayne leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories; his wife Adeline Chartrand, his son Tony (Butler) Houle, his daughter in law Corrine Flett, his grandchildren Michael, Theresa and Tori, children and grandchildren that he raised as his own Earl (Delma) Brass, Larry (Priscilla) Brass, Geraldine Chartrand, Tracey (Martin) Campbell, Rhonda (Merle) Chartrand, May Chartrand, Kenward (Mandy) Chartrand; grandsons Eric Thomas Calvin Chartrand, Eric Cook Jr, Nathaniel Pitman, and Colton; granddaughters Jennifer, Samantha and Gwendolyn Chartrand and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, his siblings John (Darlene) Hunter, Melvina Hunter, Ronnie (Peggie) Hunter, Rene (Lillian) Hunter, Karen (William) Hunter, Dennis Hunter, Joe, Kenneth (Lucy), Mary (Percy), Clarence (Marcella, Rachel (Raymond), Denis, Margaret (Bill) along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.  

Prayer Service & Wake was offered on Sunday, February 18, 2018  from the Ebb & Flow Community Complex in Ebb and Flow.

A Funeral Service was held for Joseph  on Monday, February 19, 2018 at 1:00 pm from the Ebb & Flow Community Complex in Ebb & Flow with Father Patrick Neufeld officiating.  

Interment will follow in the Ebb & Flow First Nations Cemetery.
