John "Jack" Huston Obituary

John "Jack" Huston of Makinak, MB passed away on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at the Ste. Rose Hospital at the age of 75 years.  

Jack was born on February 27, 1946 in Ste Rose du Lac and lived in Makinak, MB.  He worked for Canadian National Railways for thirty years.  Jack also ran a small farm.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and going for drives in his truck or on the side by side, always with Irma next to him.  

Jack was predeceased by his parents Elisabeth and William Huston and his brothers Stuart and Roy.  

Jack leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories; his wife Irma, his son Gordon Huston, his daughter-in-law Jennifer Carmichael, his grandsons Nicholas and William Carmichael, along with his brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, close friends and neighbors.  

In accordance with Jack's wishes, cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time.  

Should friends so desire, donations may be made in memory of Jack to CancerCare Manitoba.  

Irma would like to thank Dr. O'Hagan and the nurses and support staff at the Ste. Rose General Hospital for the excellent care that Jack received.  She would also like to thank her friends and family for all of the help they provided with hospital trips and being there to lend a hand during Jack's illness.
