John Bomak Obituary

With deep sadness, we announce the passing of our husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, John Bomak.
John was born on August 27, 1927 to parents, John & Nellie Bomak (nee Garlinksi).
He received his education at Gilbert School, in the Shortdale District.  John farmed with his Father and Brothers at Shortdale.
John married Evelyn Genik on July 15, 1954.  In 1957, they moved to Grandview and he worked on road construction for nine years.
In 1963, he purchased farmland south of Grandview and they farmed for 42 years.  He also drove the school bus for nine years.  One of his greatest joys in life was raising purebred Polled Hereford cattle.  He sold some of his cattle locally, across the country and as far away as Czechoslovakia.
John enjoyed life and he worked hard.  He also enjoyed games and cards with family & friends.  He was a quite private man, with a deep Christian faith.  He loved God & his Family.  He also enjoyed attending Church.
He was a life member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church, served on the Church Board, for several years and as a Church Elder.
John will be sadly missed by his four Sons, Russell (Maureen) of Bentley, Alberta; Ron of Dauphin; Ed (Shirley) of Grandview; Dwayne (Margie) of Grandview.
Grandchildren, Douglas, Jennifer, Terry (Travis), Carla (Brad), Clayton (Shari), Derek (Haley), and Rikki.
Great Grandchildren, Ethan, Makenna, Addison, Bodhi, Brooklynn, Calleigh, Nickolas, Kayson, Jameson and Scottie Mae.
Also surviving is his brother Mike (Helen) of Winnipeg, sister Mary Yellowega (Len) of Canora, Sask.  Sister-in-law, Joyce of Calgary.  Many nieces and nephews and extended family.
John was predeceased by his wife Evelyn (2019), parents John (1971) & Nellie (1998).  Sister Anne Kereluk, Brothers Tony & Peter.  Brothers-in-law Mike Kereluk, John Yellowega.  Sister-in-law, Alberta Bomak.  Nephews Ernie Kereluk, Peter Yellowega.  Daughter-in-law Marlene Bomak.

Beautiful memories silently kept, of a husband, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, that we will never forget.
