JoAnne Beverley (Elmhirst) Tycholes

It is with great sadness the family announces that JoAnne Beverley Tycholes (nee Elmhirst) born May 25, 1949, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2020 with her family by her side.

JoAnne was predeceased by her parents Philip and Evelyn Elmhirst, sister Marilyn Elmhirst, grandparents Frank and Jean Elmhirst and Dick and Mary Eagle. She is survived by numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was also a Godmother to many children and remembered them all on their special days. She had a smile for everyone she met and will be missed by all who knew her. 

JoAnne was a proud member of H.O.P.E. in Gilbert Plains. Before moving back to Gilbert Plains, she lived and worked in Winnipeg for several years. She was especially proud of her role as an administrative secretary at the U.S. Consulate in Winnipeg after graduating from Success Business College. 

The family would like to thank Dr. Penrose for his many years of care for Jo. Grateful thanks to all the EMS staff for their excellent care and professionalism shown each time they attended. A special thanks to Dr. Clark and staff at the Dauphin Health Centre, 2nd floor and ER, Grandview Hospital and most recently, the Gilbert Plains Care Home for their compassionate care and support given to JoAnne during her stays. We are eternally grateful to each and every one of you.

Cremation has taken place. A celebration of JoAnne’s life with take place Friday, July 9, 2021 at 1:00 pm Chatsworth Cemetery.
