With heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Jim Danyluk beloved husband, brother and uncle on November 3, 2023 aged of 73 years at the Dauphin Regional Health Center.
Jim was born on May 3, 1950 in Dauphin, MB. to Steve and Tillie (Choronby) Danyluk. On September 12th, 1999, Jim married Elizabeth Kucherawy in Dauphin.
He received his education at Ruskin school, briefly at Gilbert Plains and later graduated from Ethelbert Collegiate. Following his education, he farmed with his father and worked at various locations in Manitoba during the off season. He was employed with the CN line maintenance crew in Northern MB, also with INCO in Thompson, as well seasonal employment in Winnipeg for several years. Later in life, Jim continued to work on the family farm full time until his retirement.
Jim was involved with tree shelter belt planting and with a local honey producer. He also worked with local farmers in the Gilbert Plains and Ethelbert area during harvest season after his retirement.
He was an active member and volunteer at the Drifting River, Venlaw, and Gilbert Plains Ukrainian Orthodox churches. Jim was a church member at the St. Georges Ukrainian Orthodox Church as well as a member of the Ukrainian Orthodox Young Men’s Association.
In his younger days, Jim enjoyed farm animals especially his pet dog Rocky and horse Chico. He also enjoyed outdoor activities such as snowmobiling, skiing, hunting and fishing. In later years he enjoyed country side drives to view wildlife and farming activities.
Jim at times had some unique humorous responses when conversing. One response that comes to mind when asked, “How are you doing?” was, “Half Na Pew!” (half and half) with a smile.

He was predeceased by his parents Steve and Tillie, parents in-law Tony and Lillie, brother-in-law Eric and numerous extended family.
