Janice Gail Bennett

Janice Gail Bennett passed away on April 15, 2026 with her daughter Natachea by her side. Janice was born on October 6, 1948 in Ste. Rose, Manitoba.

She lived her entire life in the Ochre River area. Her early years were spent on the farm & in 1975 she moved to her current home in Ochre River. Janice worked for Home Care for over 30 years. During this time, she cared for many people who became friends & family rather than clients.

Janice will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Natachea Shirtliffe (Kevin); her grandchildren Owen Shirtliffe, Amy (Kayla, Tanner & Austin), and Paige Shirtliffe; as well as her sisters Joan and Toots and their families - Kim (Ed), Jade, Braden (Merrivee), Skip (Tami), and Benjy.

Janice will also be missed by her close friend & cousin Joy Highfield as well as many close friends. 

She was predeceased by her parents, John & Verna Bennett , her brothers in-law Jim Koski & Johnny Martin & her close friend Gordon Jury. 

In keeping with Janice’s wishes, no service will be held. Her ashes will be laid to rest in the Turtle River Cemetery.

Janice's family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude & appreciation to all of Janice's friends who helped her out with whatever was needed anytime of the day or night. She was lucky to have you! Also know that she enjoyed & appreciated everyone who visited her in the hospital in the last few months. 

She will be deeply missed & always remembered.
