Hope (Papuschak) Meakin

After a courageous battle with Cancer, Hope Meakin of Gilbert Plains passed away Monday, December 10th, 2018. She was born October, 16th, 1941 to Mike and Rose Papuschak in Dauphin.

She will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by Alvin, her son Darrin, her son Ron, her daughter-in-law, Madge; her grandson Kayle, who will never forget his “Nanny”; her daughter-in-law, Capri; and grandson Bobby, wife Kaylee and grandson Kyle, wife Carla and great grandchildren Chloe, Eli, Jaxon and Grady. She is survived by her sister Margaret, brother Randy and his wife Patti, stepbrother Randy and his wife Linda, and stepbrother Gerald and his wife Pauline. She will be dearly missed by numerous nieces, nephews and their children along with many other family members and friends.    

Hope was predeceased by her father Mike and mother Rose, her daughter Laurie and son Bob. 

Hope was extremely thankful for her friends and family. She was extremely grateful for the 2nd Floor staff at the Dauphin Hospital, their professionalism, kindness they showed her and of course the care they provided.

Funeral Service was held on Friday, December 14, 2018 at 11:00 am from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB with Very Rev Father Oleg Bodnarski officiating.  Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.
