Heather Dawn (Davis) Borys

With broken hearts we announce the passing of Heather Dawn  Borys on November 20, 2022.

She  was born October 2nd, 1946, to Rupert & Ada  Davis in Grandview Manitoba. She spent her first few years in Grandview, then her family moved to Swan River where she attended school and worked in her father’s store until 1963 when she finished grade 11 with her commercial typing and shorthand. She lived in a few different cities before settling in Dauphin. She worked at the concrete plant as a bookkeeper when she met Barry in 1973. Three years later they were married and welcomed 3 daughters Amber, Tara and Breena into their lives.

Heather stayed home to raise the girls. She sold Avon, making many lifelong friends in the neighborhood. Life changes directed Heather to start selling real estate at Century 21 during the day while bartending at the Legion in the evening. She was a proud member of the Legion.

Heather loved music all her life whether it be singing in many groups and quartets, singing to her grandchildren or for fun in later years singing karaoke at the Legion. She was always the life of the party!

In 1997 she welcomed her first granddaughter followed by 6 more granddaughters and in 2018 a grandson. 

Heather is survived by her daughters Amber (Teren), Tara (Jeremy), Breena (Bernie); Grandchildren Tyreen, Madison, Emma, Layne, Breanna, Mya, Lauryn & Mason. Numerous siblings and great nieces and nephews. 

She is predeceased by her parents Rupert & Ada and nephew Wade Borys.

The family will host a Come and Go  Celebration of Life for Heather on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 1:00 -3:00 pm from the Royal Canadian Legion in Dauphin.  

Should friends so desire, donations in memory of Heather may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation.
