Hazel Anderson Obituary

Hazel Anderson, 84 of Grandview passed away on October 16, 2018 at Dauphin Regional Health Centre, in Dauphin, Manitoba.     

Hazel was born in Kathryn, ND on September 17, 1934, daughter of  Oscar and Lorina Anderson.  
She grew up in North Dakota and eventually moved to California where she met her husband, George Anderson.  They were married at Carmel -by-the-Sea, California in 1961 .  Hazel and George moved to Grandview, Manitoba where they spent their married years.  Hazel was a teacher in Grandview for 33 years and served on the Board of Directors for Grandview Gateways for over 25 years.  Hazel loved her farm and took great pride in her fruit trees and flowers.  She enjoyed going into town for coffee and conversing with her coffee friends.  Hazel loved keeping in touch with her family and friends.

Hazel is survived by her brother, Duane (Lois) Anderson, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, great-great nieces and nephews, and good friends, Carolyn and Bruce Crossley, Jack and Susan Boyko and Victor Robak.
Hazel was proceeded in death by her husband, George, her parents, her sisters, Eunice Arves,  Arlene Larson, and Wanda Newkirk her brother, Orris Anderson, Brothers-in-law, Burgess Arves, Hubert Larson, and Ross Newkirk, and sister-in-law, Marcela Anderson,  nephews  Douglas Anderson, Ray Larson, and Keith Anderson.

Memorial donations can be made to Grandview Community Foundation, Grandview Gateways Inc., and Parkland Humane Society.

Funeral Service was held on Monday, October 29, 2018 at 11:00 am from Grandview Kinsmen Community Center in Grandview, MB with Pastor Dan Moeller officiating.  Interment followed in Grandview Memorial Gardens & District Cemetery in Grandview, MB.
