Gilberte Martin (nee Abraham) 

 Gilberte Martin (Abraham) passed away on Sunday, September 5, 2021 at the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home in Ste. Rose du Lac at the age of 84 years.  Gilberte was born on July 12, 1937 to Leon and Antoinette Abraham (nee Hamelin). She was raised in Ste. Rose du Lac and enjoyed living on the farm with her family. 
 
She started her career working in the Ste. Rose Hospital caring for others and continued at the St. Boniface Hospital and finally serving with Homecare within a rural setting.
Gilberte spent many years at her retirement home at Victoria Beach, MB with her family.  She worked hard her whole life and took pride in providing for her family; a job well done!   

Gilberte was predeceased by her siblings; Gerry Abraham, Larry Abraham, Denis Abraham and Odette Ingelbeen.  She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories; her 4 children Vivian, Richard, Lorrie and Carole, her 7 grandchildren Nathan, Jade, Brady, Danielle, Taylor, Noah and Avery and her 4 great grandchildren Layla, Emelia, Grayson and Emmett along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends who all loved her dearly.  

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service for Gilberte will be held at a future date when family and friends can safely gather.  The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at the Dr. Gendreau Home for the exceptional care given to our Mom.  We are forever grateful!
