Georgiana Lynn (Oar) Hewey

It is with great sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Georgiana Hewey, November 23, 2021 at the age of 69 years.

Georgiana was born March 8, 1952 in Dauphin Manitoba to parents George and Orma Oar.  She attended school in Dauphin.  Following her schooling Georgiana followed in her mother's footsteps and became a telephone operator for MTS.  On October 19, 1974 Georgiana married Jim Hewey.  They lived on the Hewey family farm and had a daughter Bonnie.

Georgiana loved spending time at her brother Murray's (Gail) cabin and spending time with close family and friends.  Her greatest and proudest love though, was spending time with and watching her 2 grandchildren Madyson and Aiden grow up.

Georgiana was predeceased by her husband Jim, parents George and Orma Oar, father-in-law John Hewey and mother-in-law Viola Hewey.  She will be greatly missed and lovingly remembered by her daughter Bonnie (Craig) Eccles of Consort, AB, grandchildren Madyson and Aiden, brother Murray (Gail) Oar and their children Andrew (Krista) Oar and Danielle (Michael) Danielewski.  Georgiana also leaves behind siblings Valerie (Ernie) Burdeniuk, Margaret (Bill) Kalinowish, Kent (Grace) Oar, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

If friends so desire donations can be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation in memory of Georgiana.

In accordance with Georgiana's wishes, cremation took place and there will be no service.
