Gemmalyn (Barrozo) Tiburan

Our beloved Gemmalyn passed away on April 9,2022 at the age of 42. She was the eldest child of Major Hilario Barrozo Sr and Rosemarie Barrozo. She was born on August 7,1979 in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, Philippines. She resided in Pangasinan till she migrated to Canada in 2014. She studied at Edna’s School for grade school and completed her high school education at Cherished Moments School. She graduated at Lyceum Northwestern University with a degree in Bachelor of Science in Commerce.

Gemmalyn was a very hardworking employee. She had worked as medical representative/manager for several pharmaceutical companies in the Philippines where she was awarded with several recognitions for her dedication and accomplishments. She had a great time working at KFC Dauphin and as dietary aide at Dauphin Hospital. She started as hotel receptionist till she was promoted as assistant manager at Canway Inn and Suites, which she considered it as her second home. 

Gem was a dog lover and surely will be missed by Piko. She also enjoyed taking photographs of her family, friends and nature. The photos she had taken will definitely give us everlasting memories of her.

Gem was a very loving and caring daughter, sister, aunt and mother. She always had a big heart for her family and friends.  She was a very strong and devoted mother and had overcome a lot of challenges in life in order to raise  her only son, Julio. She will always be remembered by her friends and coworkers as a very cheerful and sweet person. Her hugs and affection will surely be missed by her nephews and nieces. She will always be the “Big Sis” to her brothers, the wonderful daughter to her mother, and the greatest mother to her son. 
Gemmalyn was predeceased by her father. She will be dearly missed by her son Julio; mother Rosemarie; brothers and sisters in law Hilario Jr, Clifford and Jennifer, Julius and Daisy and Marvin ; nephews and nieces Faith, Jairus, Luke Abram, Jazzmine and Arch Emmanuel.

Gemmalyn will always be a precious “gem” in our hearts and her memories will live on forever. 

A Funeral Mass was held for Gemmalyn on Friday, April 29, 2022 at 11:00 am from the St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church in Dauphin with Rev. Michel Nault officiating.
