Florence Ellis

On March 11, 2020 at 6:25 am, Floaria “Florence” Ellis joined her Lord and Saviour in Heaven. Florence was born on December 9, 1938 in Shellmouth Municipality, Manitoba.  She was raised in Blue Wing and at the age of 18 married, Jim Todorovich.  Her first and only daughter, Debbie, was born in 1958, followed by her sons, Donald and David in 1960 and 1964 respectively. Florence spent her time raising her family, working the family farm, and was employed at the Roblin District Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, studying the word, serving her community, and providing for her family. In 1982 Jim passed away and three years later Florence found love again with Oliver Ellis. 

Florence was very involved with the church. She was devoted to God and His word, focusing on worship, praise and prayer. Florence had a calling and knew the importance of intercessory prayer for her family, church family, friends, and ultimately anyone that crossed her path.  Her mission in life was to share God’s love and salvation, His grace and mercy. During her stay at the Brandon ICU, she was grateful for everyone’s help, love and prayers and for God’s plan to reunite her with her family. 

Florence is survived by her sons, Donald (Valerie) of Brandon, Manitoba and David (Maureen) of Regina, Saskatchewan; her stepchildren, Brian (Audra) of Gimli, Manitoba, Wayne of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Jim of Warman, Saskatchewan and Debbie (Todd) of Winnipeg, Manitoba; as well as her grandchildren, Lance (Ashley) and their children, Aleese and Kaylee from Beaumont, Alberta, Bryce (Janna) and his son, Ethan from Brandon, Manitoba, Chas (Karen) and their daughter, Sade from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Catlyn from Regina, Saskatchewan, Harley (Brendan) from Regina, Saskatchewan, Dillan (Chelsea) from Regina, Saskatchewan, Brennan (Taylor) from Regina, Saskatchewan, Christian from Winnipeg, Manitoba and Aislynn (Kevin) from Toronto, Ontario;  sister, Lena Guraluk of Regina, Saskatchewan; sisters-in-law, Pearl Waggoner of Carberry, Manitoba and Sharon Bodnariuk (Gerry) of Good Spirit, Saskatchewan; her grand-dogs, Chucky and Cooper and numerous nieces and nephews.

Florence is predeceased by her husbands and daughter, as well as her parents, Mary and Alexander Bodnariuk and her siblings, Gregory, Bill, Ted and Baby Martha followed by Mary, Elsie, Doris, Eli, John, and Jacob. 

A Funeral Service was held on Monday, March 16, 2020 at 2:00 pm from Roblin Evangelical Mission Church in Roblin, MB with Pastor Randy Moffit officiating. Interment followed in Roblin District Cemetery in Roblin, MB.
