Emily Pavlin, our cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, auntie, mother-in-law and friend passed away at the age of 92 on February 11th 2020 at Gilbert Plains Care Home. Emily lived a long and beautiful life and was supported by family and friends until the end.
Emily was born and raised in Keld, Manitoba, surrounded by her many siblings, her mother, Dora and father, Steven Sulatyski. Emily had many fond memories of her childhood on the farm before meeting Stan, the love of her life and husband of nearly 50 years. Together they had four children, Diane, George, Dennis and Shelley.
Emily was an extraordinary woman. She loved to waterski, fish, dance, bike, watch sports, bowl, play cards and cook. Emily was adored by her grandchildren and great grandchildren and loved to spend her summers at the lake with her family. Known as “Red” by her friends, she loved to take part in card games and midnight lunch.
Emily lived life with great optimism and was often complimented on her outgoing personality, friendly demeanor, enthusiasm and wonderful sense of humor. With the gift of years given, comes the treasure of knowing that there are many who loved her dearly; and with this, we will honor her memories.
