My condolences to the Lesyk and Demchuk families for the loss of sweet Elsie. I met Elsie this past summer at St. Paul’s Home after discovering her wonderful book “Sifton Then and Now.” After I visited Sifton and Dauphin, I met and spoke with Elsie and we had a wonderful trip down memory lane and talked of the Sifton families from long ago. It was difficult to leave her that day but I will always remember her sweet smile, her hugs and her incredible memories. I’ll never forget the time I spent with Elsie. I just wish I had met her sooner. Rest in peace Elsie.

I want to extend my condolences to Theresa and her family in the loss of your mother.I have very fond memories of Elsie. She was my teacher at Oukraina School in Sifton area, and a neighbour as well. I enjoyed her Xmas concerts at school and she was a good friend of my mother, Helen. I enjoyed reading her book about the Sifton area.
