Elizabeth (Beyko) Todoruk

Elizabeth Violet Todoruk (nee Beyko) passed away Sunday, July 28, 2019 at the age of 94 years, at her suite at St. George's Place in Dauphin, MB.
Elizabeth was born March 3, 1925 to Fred & Carolina (nee Kostyshyn) Beyko at Ashville, MB.  She was the 6th child of 8 siblings.  She attended school at Mineral Creek til her 8th year.  At the age of 16 she met and married Dmytro Todoruk on November 22, 1941 in a snow storm.  They began married life living in Ashville and later moved to Gartmore district in Dauphin, MB, where they farmed til moving to St. George's Place in 1992.
Elizabeth's interests included curling, bowling, baseball and watching all sports on TV.  She enjoyed gardening and won an award for best kept yard.  She also enjoyed knitting, sewing & won many awards for her beautiful cross-stitching.
Both Elizabeth & Dmytro were involved with Canada's National Ukrainian Festival which included singing in the choir, plays, building and working the bake ovens etc..
Elizabeth is survived by sons Wes (Vicki), Jim (Terri) and daughter Carol; grandchildren Robbyn (Ryan), Greg (Loni), Olana (Jeff), Darcy (Jenell), Karla (Dustin); great grandchildren Hadleigh, Freya, Memphis, Liv, Huxli and Evalee; sisters Jenny Gotsleg (Regina), Ollie Bond (Dauphin) and many nieces and nephews and cousins.
Elizabeth was predeceased by her husband Dymtro, parents Fred and Carolina Beyko; parents-in-law Eudokia & Wasyl Todoruk; sisters Nellie (Nick) Todoruk, Ann (Peter) Mymko, Minnie (Peter) Smith, Polly (Fred) Yurkiw,; brother Steve (Sheila) Beyko; brothers-in-law Steve (Verna) Todoruk, John (Jean) Todoruk, Harry (Doris) Todoruk, Mike (Ann) Todoruk; sister-in-law Annie (Jacob) Makowski; son-in-law Phil Hannibal.
In lieu of flowers donations in memory of Elizabeth may be made to St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church, Dauphin, MB.
Prayers were offered on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at 7:00 pm from Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin, MB.
Funeral Service was held on Friday, August 2, 2019 at 10:00 am from St. George's Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Dauphin, MB with Rev. Father Brent Kuzyk officiating.  Interment followed in Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.  Pallbearers were Greg Todoruk, Darcy Todoruk, Karla Mayuk, Robbyn Todoruk, Olana Strang and Dustin Mayuk.
