Effie was born on December 9, 1926 to Steve and Mary Boyko in the RM of Dauphin. Effie grew up on her parents farm with her 4 siblings near the town of Fork River. She later met Walter Mrozowich whom she married on October 24, 1953. Together they made their home and also farmed near the town of Fork River. In her spare time she loved to curl with Walter and friends and go to the local hall to play bingo. In 1999 they retired and moved to Dauphin. She continued to grow a vegetable garden no matter where she was. She also dearly loved her flowers inside and outside of her home. While living in Dauphin Effie and Walter would take numerous bus trips with their friends to casinos in other provinces. She also had the chance to travel to Mexico, Vegas, Florida and Hawaii with family and friends.
