Edward Boguski

April 18, 1940 to January 31, 2025

It is with heavy hearts the family announces the passing of Edward Boguski at the age of 84.

Ed was born on April 18, 1940 to Jack and Anne Boguski in Dauphin Manitoba.

After graduating from high school, Ed went on to study at Brandon University where he graduated with a Bachelor of Science and a Bachelor of Education.

His first job and 30 year career was teaching at Grandview High School where the number of minds and hearts touched by Ed were immeasurable. He loved interacting with his students, took pride in their successes and always celebrated their graduation by serving them breakfast the morning after. Ed truly enjoyed each and every day of his career until his retirement.

Ed was very community minded and will be remembered for his big heart and willingness to help in any way he could. Some great highlights are helping build the community swimming pool, coaching numerous sports teams, Boy Scouts leader, and Kinsmen charter member to name just a few.

Ed met Sonja Kozak in Sifton Manitoba and they were married in 1965. Ed and Sonja went on to have two children, Barry and Karma Boguski.

In 1995, Ed retired and spent his time working for farmers, looking after the homestead and enjoying retirement.

Ed was predeceased by his parents Jack and Anne Boguski and sister in laws Chris Boguski (Nick) and Gail Boguski (Albert).

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Sonja, son Barry (Barb), daughter Karma (Mike), grandchildren Jessica, Jenna and Alysha, brothers Albert, Joe (Gerri), Frank (Doris), Raymond (Maureen), Nick, and John (Kim) as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
