Edmond Marion

Edmond was born at Waterhen, MB, where he lived with his parents George & Blennie on a ranch with his brothers and sisters, where they helped at home and attended school.  Mom & Dad Marion retired from ranching and moved to Winnipegosis with their sons Edmond and Napole.  Edmund left to work helping to build the rail road between LynnLake and Cranberry Portage.  His next move was to Churchill working on the run-way with heavy equipment.  Not too much later Ruth moved to Churchill, where they were married in 1960 and had their four children.  Twelve years later they moved to Leaf Rapids, MB for 27 years.  Edmond worked on heavy equipment for Sherritt Gordon Mines and later Hudson Bay Mining. Edmond retired and they moved to Eden, MB, then Neepawa and then home to Winnipegosis.

Edmond was predeceased by his parents George & Blennie; sister Mary Brown and husband Barney; brothers Napole and Nelson.  He is survived by his loving wife Ruth; his children, son Randall and wife Tammy, grandchildren Danielle, Jeremy, Kelsey, son Dean and wife Laura, grandchildren Kirby, Alex, Halle, Carli-Ann; daughter Denise and husband Cliff Holmerson, granddaughter Kristyn and husband Happy Zahrodny, great grandchildren Ryse & Blake, son Leon and wife Patricia, grandsons Anthony and Ewen; sister Adrienne and husband Bill Iwasiuk; sisters-in-law Lyn and Alice Marion; brothers-in-law Dennis and wife Luba Denby, Cameron and wife June Denby; 21 nephews and nieces.

It was Edmond's ability to play the guitar and sing that brought his family and friends so much happiness.  He was such a good dancing partner!  The family shared good times camping, fishing, rodeos and he enjoyed bowling.  Whenever there was a need he served as an altar servant at church until he fell ill.  He will be missed so much always.

Prayers were offered on Friday, April 12, 2019 at 6:30 pm from Corpus Christi Parish in Winnipegosis, MB.

Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at 11:00 am from  in ,  with Father John Legitimas officiating.  Interment followed in Winnipegosis Roman Catholic Cemetery in Winnipegosis, MB.  Pallbearers were Leon Marion, Randall Marion, Dean Marion, Jeremy Marion, Alex Marion, Anthony Marion.
