Doris Fontaine
June 13, 1932 - March 5, 2025

It is with great sadness the family of Doris Fontaine announces her passing on March 5th, 2025
at the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home in Ste.Rose Du Lac, Manitoba. She passed peacefully
with family by her side.

We celebrate the life of Doris Fontaine, a caring mother, a dedicated loving wife, a grandmother, a great grandmother, a great great grandmother, a friend.  Doris was soft spoken and had a smile that would light up a room.  Above all, she was known as "mom", the best mom anyone could ask for, she worked so hard for her family, she was always welcoming, always patient and always giving 

Doris was predeceased by and has reunited with her husband William Rank, second husband Albert
Fontaine, daughter Susan Mertens, and grandsons William Rank and Clayton Rank.

She is leaving behind her wonderful children, Wayne Rank (Myra), Richard Rank (Jo-Ann)  Alden Rank (Valerie), Corinne
Marback (Bob), Sheila Rank, son-in-law Mike Mertens and their extended families with 14 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

She is remembered in many ways - a few of her virtues..are as a hardworking mother deeply devoted to her family, as a most welcoming and kind soul with a fun -loving spirit, and as a very gentle, patient person. 

Doris lives on in the legacy of her family and she is loved dearly.   

Funeral Mass for Doris will be celebrated on Wednesday, March 19, 2025 at 11 am in the Ste. Rose de Lima Church, Ste. Rose du Lac, MB 
The family would like to thank all staff and doctors at the Dr. Gendreau Personal Care Home for their service, care and support.
