Doris (Ahmo) Fontaine

Doris Fontaine (nee Ahmo) left for the Spirit World on Sunday, January 12, 2025 at 3:25 am at the Selkirk Hospital.  Doris was 80 years old. 

Doris was predeceased by her husband Nick, her mother Mary Ahmo, her father Donald Ahmo, her brother William, her sister Mary Jane, her sister Yvonne (Stanley).

She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many wonderful memories; her daughter Jody (Lee), her grandchildren Sage, Tye, Kalem, and Kade, her son Shane and family, her godchildren Donald, Terrence, & Christina, her brother Bruce (Linda), Mike (Donna), Wallace (Bernice), Angela, Margaret and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.  She will be remembered by her special friends Sarah Shannacappo and Stephanie Blackbird.

A time of viewing was held on Monday, January 20, 2025 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm in the Sneath-Strilchuk - Ste. Rose Chapel with a traditional wake beginning at 5:00 pm in the O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi Band Hall, Crane River, MB.  Friends wishing to escort Doris home to the band hall are asked to meet at Sneath-Strilchuk's Ste. Rose Chapel at 4:00 pm.  

Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, January 21, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi Band Hall, Crane River, MB. 

Interment followed in the Crane River Reserve Cemetery.
