Diane Luvesta Marie Frobisher of Ochre River a suddenly and unexpectedly passed away, on Tuesday May 9th, 2023 at the age of 71 years.
Diane was born on September 15th, 1951, to proud parents Andrew Robertson and Bertha (Rollinson) Robertson. She was the second oldest daughter of a family blessed with 13 children. Diane attended school in Ochre River and Dauphin, and on June 26th, 1971, she married the love of her life, Donald Frobisher at the United Church in Ochre River, MB. They had three children Dean, Jody (Chris), and Craig (Cheryl) and 5 Grandchildren, Jarrod (Selena), Meagan, Delaney, Theodore, and Elliott.
Don and Diane resided in Ochre River for most of their lives, with a brief time in Shoal Lake, MB for Don’s work, upon retirement they moved back to their little house where they remained happily enjoying their retirement. Diane loved to read; she made many trips to the local library to “stock up” on reading material.
Diane was primarily a homemaker with the occasional employment as a cook/waitress at various establishments until her retirement. She also spent many years babysitting for many people for many years, but especially her grandchildren. The most common phrase heard in her home was “Get out of the fridge”!
Diane is survived by her husband of 51 years Donald Frobisher, her children Dean Frobisher, Jody (Chris) Brunelle, and Craig (Cheryl) Frobisher as well as her grandchildren Jarrod (Selena) Delaurier, Meagan Brunelle, Delaney Brunelle, Theodore Frobisher, and Elliott Frobisher: as well as her remaining siblings and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and other extended family members.
As per Diane’s wishes, no services will be held and interment will take place in the Ochre River Cemetery at a later date. Should friends, so desire, please consider remembering Dianne with a donation to the Parkland Humane Society.
