Desmond A.K.A. "The Hammer" passed away suddenly on January 9, 2021 at his home on Tootinaowaziibeeng, MB.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Marceline Shingoose; his grandparents Joe & Elizabeth Shingoose; and siblings Lillian Strongquill, Carolyn, Alvina, Roberta and Alfred Shingoose; his nephews Clinton Pelletier and Brendan Brass.
He leaves to mourn his wife Debbie Catagas; his children Clifford, Sheila (Gord), Desirea (Dean), Kevin, Hunter (Betty-Anne); his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
His siblings, Valerie (Dwayne), Stanley (Connie), Laura, Sylvia (Gordon), Jeff (Dusty-Lee), Sarena (Bud), Billy; his auntie Marlene and uncle Philip, auntie Edna, auntie Topsie; numerous nieces and nephews.
Desmond was born December 15, 1959 in Grandview, MB. He was raised by his loving parents William and Marceline in Valley River, MB. He attended Valley River and Grandview School. He worked various jobs and was on counsel for a 2 year term. He enjoyed playing baseball, broom ball and hockey. He also enjoyed watching sports. He like watching The Young and the Restless. He always had a great sense of humor and interesting stories to tell.
He loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren very much.
He was a very loving husband, dad, papa, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, and he will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
