Dennis "Jed" Bloomfield Obituary

Dennis E. Bloomfield, 54. A life- long resident of Dauphin, MB, passed suddenly on December 15, 2019 at the Dauphin Regional Hospital.

He was born at the Dauphin Regional Hospital on July 23, 1965 to his loving parents Tom and Donna Bloomfield (Mann). He is survived by his mother, Donna Bloomfield; two daughters, Robyn (Adam) Jacobs and Kellee Bloomfield; his brother, Barry (Corrine Hollyoake) Bloomfield; his sister in law, Sherry Birss and nephew, Nathan Bloomfield; his grandchildren, Kya and Chase Jacobs and many cousins, extended family and friends.

He is pre-deceased by his father, Thomas Bloomfield; his brother, David Bloomfield; his grandparents, Ted and Florence Bloomfield, Donald and Rose Mann.

Over the years Dennis acquired multiple nicknames, whether you knew him as Jethro Bodine, Jedi or Flat Black Jed. Jed attended the Dauphin Regional Comprehensive Secondary School where he completed his grade 11 and later attended Assiniboine Community College. Jed developed the skill of operating heavy duty equipment, he then received his Class 1 A license and pursued his lifelong dream of becoming an owner/operator within the trucking industry and did so until his passing.

Jed welcomed his 1st daughter, Robyn on July 12, 1988 and married Debbie Twerdun on June 19, 1992, several years later they welcomed their second daughter, Kellee on July 7, 1997. Jed and Debbie parted ways years later. Everyone who knew Jed knew that family was the most important, whether it be immediate, extended or friends that became family over the years. When you seen his pinky go up you knew he was coming in for the famous Bloomfield “Pinky Shake”. The days he wasn’t driving his big rig, you could find him bonding with family and friends, hunting, fishing, wrenching on square bodies with his daughter, Kellee, riding his Harley, or getting his Duramax stuck in the mud. He loved anything with a motor, tires or tracks that’s forsure... oh he also loved a cold 8-pack of Labatts.

He had the Bloomfield streak of strength and stubbornness with a heart of gold and was a friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew him and his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone.

“Live life for the day man, cause you might not be here tomorrow” -Jedi
