Denise Racette-Courchene

Denise Mary Racette-Courchene Sr 

It is with sadness that the family of Denise Mary Racette-Courchene Sr on Thursday, May 28, 2020 at her home on the Ebb and Flow First Nation at the age of 59 years. 

Denise was born on February 8, 1961 in Ste. Rose du Lac, MB.  She married Brian Courchene Sr on December 10, 2005. 

Denise was predeceased by her son Michael Racette, her granddaughter Charity Mousseau-Racette, her parents Bonaparte and Bertha Racette, her brothers Michael, Douglas, and Donald Racette, her sisters Adeline Houle, Darlene Racette, Delores Racette and Julida Beaulieu, her in-laws Joyce and Herman Courchene and her stepdaughter Merrily Morrisseau. 

She leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories; her husband Brian Courchene Sr, her children Donna, Delores, Kristin (William), Brian Jr, and Denise Jr (Josh), her grandsons Brandon, Edwin, Riley, Nash, Davin, Karson, Keya and Sergel and her granddaughters Alice, Mia, Biftu, Bilen, Kiara and Georgia and her dog Walter as well as her siblings; her sisters Claudia Roulette, Jessie Roulette and Debby Racette and her brothers Dennis Racette, Larry (Phyllis) Racette and Ronald (Ursula) Racette as well as numerous nieces and nephews. 

In keeping with the public health guidelines due to COVID-19, gatherings are limited to no more than 50 people and social distancing measures will be in place.  

Wake and Prayer Services began on Monday, June 8, 2020 at 5:00 pm from the residence of Brian Courchene Sr, 310 Point Road South, Ebb and Flow First Nation.  

Funeral Service was held on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm from the residence of Brian Courchene Sr, 310 Point Road South, Ebb and Flow First Nation.  

Interment in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery.
