Debbie Catagas

It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Deborah Catagas on November 22, 2021 at the age of 59 years.

Debbie was born February 24, 1962 in Grandview, MB. She was raised be her loving parents, Walter and Sheila and her siblings, Lynn and Wallace Catagas. Debbie lived her whole life on Valley River where she met her husband, Desmond and raised their family. Debbie peacefully passed away at the Grandview Hospital on November 22, 2021. 

Debbie was predeceased by her husband, Desmond; her parents, Walter Lynxleg and Sheila Catagas; her grandparents, Joe and Jane Catagas; her siblings, Lynn Catagas and brother, Wallace Catagas. 

She leaves to mourn her children, Clifford, Sheila (Gord), Desirea (Dean), Kevin and Hunter, her 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren; her siblings, Donna Dudek, Rose Catagas, Cheryl McKay and Walter Lynxleg.

A Traditional Wake was held on Thursday, November 25, 2021 at 4:00 pm at the Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation Hall. 

Funeral Service was held Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation Hall. Interment followed at the Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation Cemetery. 

In accordance with current public health guidelines and at the request of the family, all persons attending the funeral service are to be double vaccinated and provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination.
