David McLaughlin

David passed away suddenly on Monday, December 8, 2025 in Dauphin, MB.

David was born on March 14, 1967 in Dauphin, MB to Melville McLaughlin and Irene McLaughlin (nee Ferris). As a young child David grew up on the family farm and he enjoyed living on the farm. After he graduated high school he gained employment at Manco Dairies. Throughout David's working career he worked at various businesses in the community. David really loved the community he lived in and he enjoyed spending time touring around on his bike. His bike was nicknamed "Fast Eddie". In 2004 David met the love of his life Geraldine Nepinak. They had a happy life together and blended their families together creating many fond memories. David especially enjoyed the company of his many friends and extended family. He was kind and was a soft hearted person. He never missed the opportunity to spend time with his friends.

David was predeceased by his parents Melville and Irene McLaughlin; brother Douglas McLaughlin; as well as many aunts and uncles that he was close with.

Left to mourn his passing his loving partner Geraldine Nepinak; daughter Fellica Stevenson (Chris Federowich); three grandchildren Madison, Zoe and Anne; sister Shirley (Morley) Forsyth of Souris, MB; brother William (Rita) McLaughlin of Hinton, AB; sister-in-law Diane McLaughlin as well as his blended family members Rachel, Lorne, Shelley; uncle Reg Tarrant as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren., nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

A Wake was on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 5:00 pm to 12:00 am from the Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin.

A Celebration of Life was held for David on Tuesday, January 6, 2026 at 11:00 am from the Sneath-Strilchuk Family Care Centre in Dauphin with Pastor Wayne Olson officiating.  

Interment followed in the Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation Cemetery.
