Her in-laws Florence (Bill), Clara, Doris, Agnes, Fred (Theresa), Nelson (Shelly), Dave, Brenda (Paul), Howard (Vivian), Henry (Haley) and Arnold, along with numerous relatives and friends.
Cynthia was predeceased by her grand parents Paul and Catherine (nee Ducharme) Moosetail, Mother Edna Brisebois, stepfather Max Brisebois, her father and mother in-law Dolphus and Bertha (nee Marion) Nepinak and numerous relatives and friends.
Cynthia was born on February 10, 1962. She was raised from birth by her grandparents Paul and Catherine Moosetail, that is why to this day she is our little sister. Cynthia was raised in Pine Creek, received her education at Pine Creek school until grade 9, attended high school in Dauphin. Cynthia furthered her education attending Brandon University, where she graduated with a 4-year Bachelor of Education Degree. Cynthia started her teaching journey at Waterhen School, Niji Mahkwa School and proudly became the Principle at Pine Creek school for the last 30 years.
As young child growing up Cynthia along side her sisters, spent  a lot of time picking blueberries, strawberries, cranberries and choke cherries, there were 7 of us children that would play outside all day especially in the summer, playing tag, hide & seek, cowboys & Indians and swimming in the river, following each other around in the snow, sliding, and skating in the winter, the whole time laughing and making life long memories that are treasured today.
As a young women Cynthia loved playing baseball, she was the best back catcher and homerun hitter. During this time, she caught the eye of her loving husband Larry, from that time they were a team, and they told each other they loved each other everyday and that they were best friends. Every year as soon as the campgrounds open you could see Cynthia, Larry and her family pulling their camper out of Pine Creek. Her love of camping with family and friends was important to Cynthia.
Cynthia enjoyed visiting casino’s, this took her and Larry all over Canada and the United States, she would come back with only stories of the big wins.
Cynthia loved all her nieces and nephews and extended family like her own, she always had time to visit, tell them the truth or her opinion but always ended with an I love you and a hug and kiss.
Cynthia worked as a principle of Minegoziibe Anishinabe school for 30 years her “hugs”, “I love you” and “my babies” could be heard through out the school as she walked the hallways. Her passion for education and having all youth in Pine Creek graduate was a goal that she worked at every year and a lot of stories are being told by former students on how Cynthia never gave up on them and they are proud to say they received their grade 12 diploma because of Cynthia's love and perseverance.
Cynthia lived a full life with Larry, her family, grandchildren, and friends. She battled many health conditions and did so often with a smile, now Cynthia is at peace, her love will forever echo in our hearts. As we continue to gather as family and friends, we honor her memory and the values she instilled in us. Though she may no longer be with us, her spirit will always guide us.
As family gathered around her bedside, we felt an overwhelming sense of loss, but also immense gratitude for the love she instilled in us. Our greatest wish was to have her family gathered around her as a reminder of the strength of our family bond, and to have a celebration of her life to remember and cherish all the happy moments.  Cynthia was the heart of our family, a beacon of love and support.
Cynthia's family would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff at St. Boniface Hospital during her surgeries and the Dauphin Regional Health Centre for all their support during Cynthia's last days.
The family thanks and appreciates all family and friends who stopped by the house to share stories, hugs, laughter, tears, and prayers, all who donated all the delicious food, baking, coffee, water and serving items.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Cynthia’s memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 247 Provencher Blvd, Unit B, Winnipeg, MB R2H 0G6.
