Clifford Sanderson Obituary

Dad was born in Sandy Point on Jan 18, 1942 to Harvey and Vitaline Sanderson.
Dad was a hard working man all of his life. He stepped up when his dad went to war and he then had to be the head provider for the family. He traveled by foot to find work for local farmers in the area and would bring home as much as he could for his momma, brothers and sisters.
When the war was over, he continued to work and soon met the love of his life Olive Claire Vandal. They married on Feb 18, 1965 and soon had a son named Andrew.
He moved his little family to Winnipegosis and worked on construction and commercial fishing, then soon came Philias. With his family growing he had to look for more work and so he came to work on a Mink farm near Dauphin. His family in tow, he worked hard labour jobs to provide for his family. Soon came his daughter Julie and now with two sons and a daughter he had a house full of family who turned out to be very musical. With guitars and fiddles chiming in the background, little feet danced and skipped until the weee hours of the morning.
Then son Darrell was born. Now with three boys and a girl, he had outdoor help from the two oldest sons Andrew and Philias. He taught them what he knew to hunt and fish. Eventually they would learn to snare rabbits, shoot ducks and geese. Anything so momma could make some good soup and bannock for supper. We always had food when the boys went hunting.
Then came Sandra. She was the youngest of the Sanderson's. With his family complete, everyone had their jobs to do around home the men hunting and providing and the women always cooking and cleaning.
