It is with heavy hearts that the family of Clifford (Cliff) Frank Evason announces his sudden passing on Saturday, January 31, 2026, in Dauphin, Manitoba, at the age of 72.
Cliff was born in Dauphin on July 27, 1953, the youngest of six children. He spent nearly his entire life in his beloved hometown, where he was a fixture of the community both professionally and personally. Cliff dedicated the majority of his career to his work as an accountant, earning a reputation for his precision, reliability, and steady hand.
He was an avid sportsman. A lifelong fan and player of hockey and an enthusiastic golfer who cherished the camaraderie of the game as much as the sport itself. Above all, Cliff was a man who valued connection, spending countless hours making memories with his circle of friends and his large extended family.
Cliff was predeceased by his mother, Amy, and four of his siblings: Al, Gail and husband John, Barry, and Ron, and mother and father-in-law Victoria and Peter.
His legacy of kindness and devotion lives on through his wife, Patricia; his son, Tim (Tammy); his daughter, Jacqueline; and his cherished grandchildren, Lauren and Tyler. He is also survived by his brother, Ken (Barb), sister-in-laws Shiela, Eva, Marge; in-laws Marlene and Harvey Myk; Larry Hyshka and fiance Marlene Scott, Jim and Colleen Cruise, Cindy and Brad Solski, Ron Filomena Hyshka, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him dearly.
A Funeral Mass was held for Clifford on Saturday, February 7, 2026 at 1:00 pm from the St. Viator's Roman Catholic Church in Dauphin with Fr. Christopher Dubois officiating.
Interment followed in the Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin, MB.
