Charles Bruce Tetipas passed away suddenly on February 4, 2020 in Winnipeg, Manitoba.
He was predeceased by his parents Jerry and Myrtle Tettepasse; his grandparents who raised him, Henry and Victoria Houle; brothers Peter Tettepasse, Willie Tettepasse; sister Reba Tettepasse, and sister in infancy Doreen; special cousin Susie Spence; best friends Steve Flett and Marty Flett.
He leaves behind to cherish many fond memories his sister Mary Flett and special cousins Mike Head and Vicky Hiebert; nieces Charmaine Tettepasse and Danielle Brandon; and 5 great nephews; godchild Myrna Houle. Charles also leaves behind numerous special cousins and friends.
Charlie was born January 24, 1953 in Tootinaowaziibeeng First Nation. He was raised by Henry and Victoria Houle. At the age of 11 years old Charles moved to Ebb and Flow First Nation and resided there all his life, living with Romeo and Mary Flett and family. Charlie made many lifelong friends in Ebb and Flow and spent most of his time with the family of Edna Flett. Charlie enjoyed listening to music with the likes of CCR and Burton Cummings, watching sports, taking his daily walks, visiting family and friends. He was known by 3 nicknames "Chuck", "CT" and "The Honkey Tonk Man", the song he was infamous for singing. Charlie made friends wherever he went and was well known all over. He was always our hitchhiking whether it was to Winnipeg or Tootinaowaziibeeng to see family and friends. Charlie will be missed greatly by many.
A viewing was held on Tuesday, February 11, 2020 from 6:00 pm - 11:00 pm at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main Street in Winnipeg
Prayer and Wake Services were held on Wednesday, February 12, 2020 beginning at 5:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow, MB
Funeral Service was held on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow, MB
Interment followed in Ebb & Flow First Cemetery in Ebb & Flow, MB. Pallbearers were Evan Flett, Jesse Parisian, Clifford Catagas, Bert Flatt, Terry Flett, Randy Flett, Kelly Houle, Brendan Racette.
