Charles Kenneth Baptiste

It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Charles Kenneth Baptiste "White Wolf" "Shallow" on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at the Health Sciences Centre in Winnipeg at the age of 66 years.  

Charles was predeceased by his parents Donald and Adele Baptiste, his brothers Joe and Larry, his sisters Marjorie Baptiste, Mary Jane Ahmo and Deanna Baptiste and his uncle Larry Hunter.   

He leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many fond memories; his wife Rita, his sons Sonny (Kim), Brennan (Annette), Shane (Mandy), & Sam (Tara), his 13 grandchildren who were all so dear to their Shoom, his 2 great grandsons Trey and Pierce, and his granddaughters that he and Rita raised; Sasha and Tyesha, Helen and Sara and his grandson Justin Trumbla.  Charles will be remembered by his sisters Marie, Susan, Elaine (John), his brothers Leo (Brenda), Isaac, and Warren along with numerous extended family members and many friends.  

A traditional wake and prayer service was held on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 beginning at 5:00 pm from the residence of Rita Baptiste, 601 Sucker Creek Road, Ebb and Flow First Nation.  

Funeral Service was held on Wednesday, September 9, 2020 at 1:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow First Nation.  

Interment in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery.

I heard your voice in the wind today
and I turned to see your face;
The warmth of the wind caressed me
as I stood silently in place.

I felt your touch in the sun today
as its warmth filled the sky;
I closed my eyes for your embrace
and my spirit soared high.

it quietly said your name.

I held you close in my heart today
it made me feel complete;

you will always be a part of me.
