It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Chad Ranville. Chad left us suddenly on September 18, 2023 in Crane River following a hard battle with diabetes for many years.
Chad was born in Ste. Rose du Lac on April 13, 1971 to his proud parents Frank & Eileen Ranville. Chad graduated Grade 12 at Frontier Collegiate Institute in Cranberry Portage in 1990. He and Alexandra Mousseau were married on April 24, 1999 and had 4 beautiful daughters together along with son Alexander.
Chad enjoyed many sports such as hockey, baseball, volleyball, and badminton and loved to play his VLT's as well.
Chad worked in various placed throughout his lifetime. He worked as a bartender at the OCC Lounge, Maple Leaf in Brandon, Child and Family Services and the OCC Healing Lodge as a liaison officer.
Chad made many friends throughout his careers. Chad always had jokes for everyone that he met. Chad loved to party and sing along to the Merle Haggard classic "The Running Kind".
Chad was given the nicknames Tillaweeny and Poke a little wick from his grandmother Eliza.
Chad was predeceased by his mother Eileen Moar, his grandparents John & Cecile Moar, Emile and Eliza Ranville, his stepbrother Michael Erickson, his aunts Florence, Alice, Nancy, Joanne, Mary, Josephine, and Elizabeth and his uncle Wallace.
He leaves to mourn his passing; his children; son Alexander, his daughters Cassie (Shaun), Kelly, Stacie (Jevon) and Hailee (Brock), his grandchildren Nathaniel, Analia, Oaklyn, Mazeden, Jack, Hendrix, TylerJr, Peyton, his dad Frank, Ranville, his stepmom Delia Erickson, his sister Myrna (David), his brother Chris (Michelle), his step siblings Robert, John, Christopher, Geoffery (Charmaine), Dean (Destiny) and Tracy (Donald), his aunts Josephine (Irvin), Doris (Florent) and his uncle Julius (Elaine), his nephews Kelsey, Gary, Derek, Tyler, and Baby Chad, his nieces Raina, Kiersyn and Kamryn, along with many extended family members and many friends.
Chad will be missed by so many people, especially his children and grandchildren. We take comfort that he is now in a better place and is no longer suffering.
A Funeral Service for Chad was held on Tuesday, September 26th at 12:00 noon from the Maurice Morrisseau Memorial Hall.
