Brina Campbell Obituary

Brina Campbell
Ozhaawashko Bineshiikwe
Blue Thunderbird Woman

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Brina Mary Campbell on Saturday, January 18, 2025 with her family by her side.

Brina was a fun, loving person.  She enjoyed playing bingo and slots.  She loved listening to her music and at time would sing along with her favorites; George Jones, Hank Williams Jr, Loretta Lynn and Kitty Wells.  Her all time favorite song was "How far is Heaven".

Brina enjoyed talking on the phone.  She would phone a friend or family members at all hours of the day and night, just to talk and at time sing to them.  She liked sharing stories of living in Vancouver before moving home to Bacon Ridge.  Brina loved her grandchildren and loved to spend time with them when she could.   As Brina's health deteriorated, she was limited to care for herself.  Her sisters Rose and Cathy were there to make sure that she was well taken care of and they ensured that she was surrounded by family.

Brina was predeceased by her husband Glen McAuley, her daughter Thora Campbell, her parents Agnes Beaulieu and John Campbell, her brothers Kelvin and Michael Campbell and her sister baby Patsy.

She leaves to mourn her passing; her children Jennifer Sanderson (Ken), Brennan Sanderson, Derek Campbell (Tania), Selena Campbell, her stepchildren Glenda McAuley, Glen McAuley Jr, John McAuley and Andrea Malcolm, her grandchildren Neveah, Diamond, Oliver, George (J.R), Christian, Madison, Georgia, Daniel, Sonny, Jerrad, Dillon, Ranon, Saliesha, Trystan, Taylor, Trista, Torie, Rayeanne, Cheyenne, Tyson, Alanis, Ariel, Andria, Andre Jr, Ava, Noah and Emilia, her great grandchildren Autumn, Natalia, Valla, Lune, Avery, Anastacia, Iris and Camelia, her siblings Blanche, Yvette (Lloyd), Rose (George), Stanley (Lucy), Geordie (Cheryl), Norman (Sherrise), Franklin (Melanie), Cathy (Calvin), Wesley (Lisa), Clayton (Amanda) and Glenda.

The family would like to thank the first responders Erin Malcolm, Maury McKay, Evan Lacquette, Kaylynn Sutherland, EMS and Ste. Rose RCMP, the health care workers Sarah Lacquette, Jenna Law and community health nurse Dawn Bass, Ryan Raffray from Sneath-Strilchuk, Ebb and Flow Hall & Bingo Committees and to Chief and Council of Ebb and Flow First Nation and O-Chi-Chak-Ko-Sipi First Nation.  Thank you all for the kindness and support given to our family.

Brina left us with beautiful memories to cherish, she will be sadly missed.

A traditional wake was held on Friday, January 24, 2025 beginning at 5:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow First Nation.
