Brandee McKay Obituary

In loving memory of Brandee Alexa McKay,  (Shinanz, Nans, Big Nan, Nandy, Shinandy-pooh)

Brandee suddenly passed away on February 12, 2020 at E M Crowe Memorial Hospital at the age of 21 years.

Brandee (Shinanz) leaves to mourn her beautiful daughter Khaleesi Mary Contois;  Mother Bernice Genaille; Siblings, Russell Genaille (Beeb), Rachelle Genaille (Boss) and nephew Troyce Genaille, Brandon Genaille, Raina McKay (Geeg), River McKay, Braiden McKay, Bradee McKay, Francine McIvor and (nephew and niece) Nicholas and Susannha McIvor, (Koko) Doreen Genaille, Khaleesi’s Dad Joushua Contois and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends.

Brandee was a funny person; she would make you laugh when you're feeling down.  Shinanz (Brandee) would always say funny things. She was a witty young woman, and she was also blunt. Shinanz would say what comes to her mind no matter what it was and people loved  her for that. She was outgoing and always happy. Everywhere Shinanz went she would leave a smile on everyone's face. Shinanz looked after people and made sure they were okay. Shinanz loved to see her friends and family happy.  Brandee truly, deeply loved her daughter Khaleesi Mary.

She was her pride and joy. They understood each other, laughed, hugged, kisses, and all the time that Brandee spent with Khaleesi Mary (her daughter) meant the world to her.

Brandee loved her mother Bernice with all her heart; they knew each other so well. Her mother Bernice was a blessing to her and very proud of her. Brandee was her mother’s fourth child. Shinanz (Brandee) wasn't only her fourth child, she was her wild child. Brandee looked like her mother but was exactly like her father, Russell James McKay.  She was daring and unstoppable.   Growing up as a young girl, everybody was her aunt and uncle. She was bold and would go up to her dad and mom's friends and hug them and talk to them. Last but not least, she was a confident soldier, a warrior woman who will forever be missed.  Brandee is reunited with her beloved father Russell James McKay in heaven. Brandee was her Fathers princess. He called her his nandy-pooh and even had a song that he always sang to her while he was here with us on earth. She was his pride and joy, his baby girl. Her personality, humour, and bluntness came from her beloved dad.  Shinanz was a little Russell Jr.  It gives the family peace knowing that her father was there to greet her and meet her  at the golden gates of heaven with arms wide open.
Brandee Alexa McKay (Shinanz) is predeceased by her Father Russell James McKay; her Papa Maurice Genaille; Choomich Louie Genaille and Koko Nora; Grandma Doreen McKay;  Papa Oscar McKay; Choomich Borish Genaille; Brother Georgie Lamirande Jr.; Sister-in-law Jourdan Contois; Friend Fraser Chartrand.
