Aurore Marie Rose Pinette of Ste. Rose du Lac passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024 at the age of 96 years with her beloved family by her side.
Aurore was born on December 9, 1927 in Torquay, Saskatchewan to parents of Eugene and Claire Gingras (nee Marcotte). She was the oldest of 12 children. In 1932 the family travelled from Torquay to Pine Falls, Manitoba. They later made their way to Laurier where she met the love of her life Jean. Aurore married Jean Pinette on July 1, 1947. They had a large family of 12 children and took over the homestead where Jean was raised in Ste. Amelie, Manitoba. Aurore loved it on the farm and loved being out in the yard helping. She was kept busy feeding the calves, raising the kids then started working at the Gendreau Personal CarevHome as a Health Care Aide. Later on as most of the kids left home, her and Jean moved to Ste. Rose du Lac where she enjoyed working, playing BINGO, hosting family gatherings and being with her children and grandchildren near and far. Aurore was always up for an adventure and never wanted to be left behind, up until her last trip to visit family in Alberta and camping at Rainbow Beach at the age of 94 years.
Aurore leaves to mourn her passing and cherish many fond memories; her children; Albert (Linda), Florence, Claude (Viola), Rosanne, Gilles (Linda), Norman, Noellie (Ken Wiebe), Solange and Guy along with 36 grandchildren, 82 great and 30 great great grandchildren & their spouses.
Aurore was predeceased by her loving husband Jean (2019), her children Remi, Stella and Jerome, her son in laws Leonard Knezacek, William Spence, Lucien Soucy and Rex Drabble, her daughter in law Elizabeth McDonald, her great-grandson Jerome Cote along with her parents and and 9 siblings. She will be forever in our hearts and memories cherished.
