Audrey Dolhun Obituary

Audrey Dolhun passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026 in Winnipegosis, MB

Audrey was born September 12, 1944, Audrey was the eldest of three children welcomed by Michael and Mary Bernat (Wosowich). She grew up on the family farm in Keld. She attended Halley country school before attending Dauphin Collegiate Technical Institute. She went to Winnipeg Technical School to study Stenographer.

After being single for many years Audrey met the love of her life Walter Dolhun. After a lengthy courtship they decided to surprise everyone and united in marriage on February 15, 1985. Early in their marriage they both enjoyed curling and participated in many bonspiels. They both enjoyed doing many things together.

Audrey worked many years for home care. She enjoyed her career as a health care aide for 35 years. She would always help her patients in any way.

Audrey loved gardening, growing vegetables, tending flowers and preserving fruits picked in season. The pantry and freezer were well stocked for the winter. She also enjoyed knitting and crocheting afghans. She loved to share her creations.

She belonged to the Dauphin Horticultural society and Sifton ladies club for many years. She was always willing to help in any way she could, especially baking.

Audrey was proud of her Ukrainian heritage – cooking Ukrainian dishes like her mother. Faith was important to Audrey. She went faithfully to a service every week.

We are happy knowing that she is at peace with her husband and family – united again.
