A graveside service was held for Arlene and her sister Joan on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at 2:00 pm from Riverside Cemetery in Dauphin. Arlene passed away suddenly on Saturday, July 24 at the age of 67.
She was predeceased by her mother Ella Mae Emsley and father Maurice Chaychuk. She leaves behind siblings Joan (Vickie, Linda-Ann, and Kiefer), Mary Ann (Mark), Alan, and Patricia.
Arlene was born in Windsor, Ontario and moved to Saskatchewan with her parents for a short time and then moved to Thompson, Manitoba where she grew up.
She worked at the local Thrift Store and the YWCA in Thompson. Later she would go further north to Churchill to work for Manitoba Housing. After several years she transferred to Dauphin with Manitoba Housing.
Arlene loved to read and was active in playing group games on the internet. She liked animals and had a pet parrot for a number of years. Faith was important to her and she faithfully attended the Lutheran Church for a number of years. At Church Arlene enjoyed singing with the choir and participating in bible studies.
