Anne Stewart passed away peacefully on January 23, 2021 at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre at the age of 94 years.
Anne was born to Mike and Lena Symchych on January 17, 1927.
Anne spent her early years on the farm and worked hard the whole time. She moved to Dauphin and went to work for the Town of Dauphin, where she met her future husband Peter. In those times married women were not allowed to work for the Town and Anne had to leave her job as soon as she and Peter were married. She then went to work for Main and Milner. She worked at the Chrysler dealership until she retired.
Anne loved gardening and would gladly show you her garden when you visited. She also was an avid baseball fan and never missed a game on TV. She had a great love for animals and was a generous supporter of the Parkland Humane Society. She also supported many other organizations.
Anne was predeceased by her husband Peter, her parents Mike and Lena and two brothers, Dmetro and William. She is survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Private services were held with interment in the Dauphin Riverside Cemetery.
We would like to thank the staff at the DRHC for the excellent care Anne received. We would also like to thank Sneath-Strilchuk for their professional services.
