It is with great sadness to announce the passing of Anne Noga on March 21st, 2019 at age 92. Anne was born in the Saskatchewan district of Stornaway to parents Spiridon and Rose (Zazelenchuk) Babiuk in 1927. She received part of her education at McGillvary School on the farm near where they lived. In 1938 the family moved to Gilbert Plains, Manitoba where she finished her elementary and high school education. In 1947, Anne married Carl Stanley Noga. Together they ran the Roxy Billiards in Grandview for twenty-six years. They later opened a ladies-wear business called Grand Park Fashions until 1973. Anne later worked as a Sales Associate at the Fashion Shoppe in Dauphin until she retired in 1987. They have three sons who survive her: Tom, of Toronto, Gerald of Teeswater, Ontario and Brian of Miami, Florida. She is survived by one sister Pauline Miller of Henderson, Nevada, and two brothers, Bill and John Babiuk of Winnipeg, Manitoba as well as many brothers and sisters-in law, nieces and nephews and one grandson, Marcus Noga from Miami. Anne was predeceased by her husband Carl in 1996, her parents, her sisters Elaine Hladun of Kamsack, Saskatchewan, and Lena Kotak of Gilbert Plains, Manitoba, her brothers Stan and Ed Babiuk of Winnipeg, in-laws Paul and Stella Noga, sister-in-laws Nettie and Jean Noga of Dauphin, brother in-law Frank Nogarr and wife Jay of California, and one nephew Steve Nogarr of California.
The family extends their great appreciation to the doctors, nurses and staff at the Grandview District Hospital and to the professional staff at the Grandview Personal Care Home.
A private family Celebration-of-Life will take place on November 3, 2019 in Winnipeg.
Graveside Service will take place on Friday, November 8, 2019 at 1:30 pm in the Grandview Memorial Gardens and District Cemetery with Pastor Floyd Martens officiating.
