On Tuesday May 13, 2025, at the Gilbert Plains Personal Care Home, Anne (Mymko) Haluschak passed away at the age of 99, peacefully in her sleep.
Anne was born in Dauphin, Manitoba on May 19,1925 and attended Comrie School. On November 14, 1944, Anne married Jack Haluschak. They continued to reside in the Ashville area and farmed actively until 1981. At that time, they moved to Dauphin and Anne resided in their home until she moved into the Gilbert Plains Personal Care Home in December 2023. Anne was only a handful of days away from reaching the age of 100. We can only wonder in awe of all the changes in the world seen through her eyes. Her skills for cooking and canning are second to none. However, her true passion was gardening vegetables, plants and of course flowers. Plants could be found everywhere regardless of the season. The two small greenhouses she had at one time may have put many garden centers to shame. Many of these passions and skills have flowed through our family. She clearly established and owned her independence and demonstrated this by living in her own home and driving well into her 90’s. We are positive everyone will have their own special memories and images that they will be able to draw upon to keep her memory alive. Our parents were able to celebrate their 65th wedding anniversary on November 14, 2009. Anne was predeceased by Jack on December 2, 2009. Anne was at the helm for many four generation pictures and several five generation pictures, which is incredible!!
