In Loving Memory of Anne Chita
February 4, 1933 – November 14, 2025
It is with deep love and gratitude that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother (Baba), and sister, Anne Chita, who left us peacefully surrounded by family and care at the Dauphin Hospital.
Anne was born on February 4, 1933, in the Fork River area of Manitoba. In 1951, she married the love of her life, Peter Chita, and together they built a beautiful life rooted in hard work, family, and faith. They farmed for many years in Oak Brae and later Sifton area before moving to Dauphin in 1961, where they continued to raise their family and make lifelong friendships.
Anne will be lovingly remembered by her three children: Dennis of Dauphin, MB; Bob and his wife Brenda of Kamloops, BC; and Brian and his wife Michelle of Didsbury, AB. She was a proud and devoted grandmother (Baba) to Dara (Calgary, AB), Kiaira (Calgary, AB), Breanne (Carstairs, AB), Joshua (Oyen, AB), and Nathan and his wife Allison (Olds, AB).
Anne is also survived by her dear sister Ollie, of Dauphin (St. Paul’s Home), along with many extended family members and friends whose lives were touched by her kindness, warmth, and gentle spirit.
Anne will always be remembered for her giving heart, her love of family gatherings, and the quiet strength that guided her through life’s seasons. Her home was a place of welcome—where laughter, good food, and heartfelt conversation were always found.
The family extends their deepest thanks to the compassionate staff at Dauphin Hospital for their care, warmth, and kindness during our mother’s stay. Your support brought great comfort to both Anne and her family.
In honoring Anne’s wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date.
Though she has left this world, her love and memory will forever remain in our hearts.
