It is with sadness that the family announces the passing of Andrew “Andy” Flett, on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 at the age of 75 years.
Andy was born on September 12,1949 in Reedy Creek, Manitoba. He married Yvonne Kakewash on November 1, 1969. Andy worked with CNR as a foreman and machine operator for 35 years until he became ill.
Andy spent most of his leisure time playing cards or playing vlt’s.
Andy was predeceased by his parents Louisa and Thomas Flett, his wife Yvonne, his brothers David and Joe, his sisters Martha, Elizabeth and Julie, His mother-in-law Helen Kakewash, father-in-law Roy Houle, his brothers-in-law Colin, Ivan, Frances, Eugene, his sisters-in-law Karen, Elaine, Cheryl and granddaughter Baby Trudy.
Andy leaves to mourn his passing and cherish many wonderful memories; his daughters Kim (Darryl), Ruby (friend Ron), Rhonda(Terry Flett), Andrea (Terry McIvor) and son Andrew Flett Jr, his grandchildren and great grandchildren, whom he loved very much, son-in-law Dwayne Spence, brothers Jeff (Kim) and Carey (Cindy), sisters Cheryl, Diane (Leonard), Lauren (Kim), Glenda(Percy), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, godchildren and friends.
A wake and prayer services was held for Andy on Wednesday, April 9, 2025 beginning at 5:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow First Nation. Prayers were offered at 7:00 pm.
Funeral Service for Andy was held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 1:00 pm in the Ebb and Flow Community Complex, Ebb and Flow First Nation. Fr. Moise Adossou officiated. Interment took place in the Ebb and Flow Cemetery.
